Bio

PAST
Starting out at young age GGB started out as a singer/songwriter in numerous bands, projects and the like. Vaguely starting out with some minor rapping in some metal formations when he was 15, the aggressive style and lyrics where the foundation of his material and freestyles today, as were his performance skills on stage due to his career and teachings in the theatre. Later on in 2003 the first real rap formation was found in a metal project called Calabash. They got their tunes spread in the majority of Rockcafe’s throughout Amersfoort, and after this small success of being noticed, he started out for being mentioned.
GGB started out his own little project called GoGettemBoy, the extended name of the MC project GGB. Gogettemboy was mainly for producing, recording, creating and writing hiphop, where GGB is the Equivalent, but on a purely MC and support act basis. His first appearance was on the Subtopia DnB parties in Amersfoort, where he won a bet by going on stage and delivering his first freestyles. Dj’s noticed immediately and it was from that time that he was found on stage at merely every Subtopia party, and some gigs from the DnB crew Utreg Massive. Later on, DJ DeciBel, organizer of the Subtopia Parties, started his own crew with the Amersfoort DJ scene in DnB, and GGB Became Resident. He’s been hosting this event ever since, and has been playing for some other DJ crews and gigs throughout the Netherlands on an Irregular basis. When Subtopia Crew launched a national party on Queensday with many Crews and DJ’s attending in DnB & Dubstep, he got himself a spot between the FORMS crew where he spitted his lyrics. It was from that moment that he was asked more regularly at these parties as well, and has now become resident for this Grand venue and Crew.

PRESENT
GGB is working his way up to more venues and trying to get some props out there. He also works on the road of hiphop and rapping with his acceptance at the Rockacademie in Tilburg for the Discipline of Rap/Hiphop. And last but not least, he’s working on a number of acoustic guitar songs under the name of “Toneposter”. Cross mixing these 3 styles in the future will be his main occupation when in school, so you will hear from this man in many ways, undoubtedly.

STYLE
GGB’s style is aggressive, passionate, diverse and energetic. Sharp flows, impressive vocal skills and some nifty improvisations when called for, are the key elements. But most importantly, he tries to connect the crowd to the Artists on stage, linking the energy flow from one to another. Interaction with both Dj’s and Public hold this connection and creates an energetic feedback to both, resulting into dancing madness and a Crazy atmosphere!
